In a conversation clipped and circulated by Emir, the Tesla and SpaceX founder said the plain thing out loud: at most ten years remain in which a human being can reliably make money by selling their work for a wage. Musk went further, predicting that within about five years digital intelligence will exceed the sum total of all human intelligence, that the planet will host at least one hundred million humanoid robots and possibly a billion, and that global economic output could double every five to seven years. That is not a chatbot demo or a venture capital pitch deck. That is your kitchen table, your mortgage, and your kids’ career plans.

There is no third lane. President Trump’s America is the only country on the planet letting this technology run in the open while Brussels regulates itself into a museum exhibit and Beijing races ahead with state muscle behind it.
Musk calls what’s coming amazing abundance and the most interesting period in human history. He may well be right — but only for the people who are awake while it happens.
