Prominent Hong Kong activists have been to Washington to seek U.S. help for their pro-democracy movement and they found a receptive audience. Lawmakers on Capitol Hill say they’re moving forward with attempts to pressure the Hong Kong government over its treatment of protesters by threatening the territory’s special trading status.
