Boris Johnson has confirmed that arrivals from 22 different countries will have to quarantine in Government-provided hotels “without exception”.
The countries include South Africa, Portugal and South American nations.
The new measures are aimed at preventing mutant strains of the COVID virus from reaching the UK.
